There are so many reasons to love the Mondos, but let’s start with the biggest one: Every plastic hair tie ever used still exists on this planet. We decided we had to create a better version of the familiar shape to help transition the world to a sustainably sourced, zero waste option… and quickly! They’re made in Japan with organic cotton, toxin-free dyes, and via a transparent and environmentally mindful supply chain that uses fair labour practices. The Mondos (and Mini counterparts) are the biggest thing to happen to hair accessories, well, ever!

Other hair ties are designed to be disposable, single-use accessories that snap and get tossed. The Mondos are built to last. We chose to produce them in Japan because it's a culture that never cuts corners, and the proof is in the quality of these larger Rounds. We’ve tested them, and they’re at least 2.5x stronger than any comparable hair tie.
We want to show customers a different way of looking at this once-expendable accessory. Our Mondos are made to work, to last, and to stay in rotation long-term.
